House Rules
Welcome to our class community! We're all here with the same goal: to learn and grow together.
In this class, you'll have the chance to explore new ideas that might challenge your current perspectives. This is a wonderful opportunity for growth! Learning happens when we open ourselves up to new ideas and different viewpoints.
When you're interacting with classmates, posting on a discussion board, or communicating with me, please remember that your words are read by real people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
To help us all learn and grow together, let’s try to agree on some “House Rules” for our community:

Human Connection
Remember there's a real person on the other side of the screen, and treat them with the same respect you would in person.

Ethical Conduct
Maintain the same ethical standards online as you would offline. Don't engage in illegal or unethical behavior.

Consider Others
Be mindful of other users' time and interests. Don't dominate conversations or expect immediate responses.

Professional
Present yourself well online by using proper grammar and spelling, and sharing accurate information

Forgiveness
Be forgiving of others' mistakes. Offer constructive feedback politely and privately, if necessary.

Summary
Since this is a college course, it's important to practice good “netiquette” in all our communications.
Sometimes, all we need do to remind ourselves of our House Rules is simply ask, "Would I say this in a classroom?” And if you ever have any issues or concerns with another student, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
Together, we can make this term a wonderful and rewarding experience. Let's collaborate to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for everyone!
